At ABAC, we pride ourselves on fostering strong partnerships with industry leaders to ensure our students receive unparalleled opportunities for hands-on learning and real-world experience.

One of our most valuable collaborations is with the Georgia Farm Bureau (GFB), an organization deeply committed to supporting Georgia’s agricultural community. By combining ABAC's innovative, hands-on approach to education with GFB's dedication to supporting Georgia agriculture, we ensure that our graduates are not only well-prepared but also highly connected to the communities they will serve, working together to cultivate the next generation of agricultural leaders.

ABAC provided me with invaluable hands-on experiences that helped me discover my passion for agriculture. The small class sizes and dedicated faculty made me feel like more than just a student – they cared about my success both in and out of the classroom.

Ag Tech Building

SANR offers students cutting-edge learning environments that blend academic instruction with practical experience. The recently opened Agricultural Technology Building includes an Agricultural Demonstration space and a simulation lab, providing hands-on learning in the latest agricultural technologies. The new facility, alongside ABAC's 400-acre J.G. Woodroof Farm, gives students direct access to real-world agricultural practices and state-of-the-art equipment.

Mary Ellen Hicks

Students in ABAC’s Animal Science program benefit from industry experts like Dr. Mary Ellen Hicks, an ABAC alumna with over 30 years of teaching experience.

Under her mentorship, students engage directly with livestock, including managing ABAC's cattle herd, and learn critical skills in animal health, production, and management. Graduates leave ABAC prepared to pursue careers in animal science or continue their education in veterinary school.

"Our students don't just learn in the classroom—they gain hands-on experience that prepares them for a wide range of careers in agriculture," Dr. Hicks explains.
